Process
You and I will discuss your project in detail, including the style, materials and colors you'd like me to use. Afterwards, I’ll send you a custom quote. When you’ve approved the quote and paid the deposit, I’ll add you to my calendar. When I begin your project, I’ll communicate with you closely to keep you informed and answer questions. I’ll also send photos and/or digital layouts so that you can see my progress.


Timing
Timing will depend on your project’s requirements, and also my schedule. For weddings, it’s customary to mail invitations 6-8 weeks in advance. Schedules need to allow for scripting and/or printing time. It’s best to book at least 6 months ahead of time to be sure of my availability.

Rush charges may apply to projects with minimal lead time.


Materials
I’m happy to provide paper, cards and envelopes for your project if you need them. I can also source more unusual materials, such as acrylic for signs or agate for place cards.

If you’re providing envelopes, paper or other materials, I may need to test a sample in advance to make sure it will work well with the pens that I use. Both heavily textured and thin paper can be difficult to work with, as can some of the more unusual materials I can work with. It’s always best to test before buying supplies in quantity.

Please note that I request an additional 25% of the total number of items to allow for errors, changes and the inevitable ink splatters. (For an order of 100 items I will need 125.)


Custom Work is Not Returnable
All of the work I do is custom and made to order, and because of this I am not able to accept returns or exchanges. Any errors made that are mine will be corrected immediately. Mistakes that originate with the information supplied to me can be redone, but I will have to charge for the new work.


Payment
For orders of $250 and less and envelope orders of 100 or fewer pieces, the full amount is due when the order is placed.

For orders over $250 and envelope orders over 100 pieces, a 50% deposit is due when the order is placed. The final balance is due before the order ships.
